Protein Packed, Warm, & Delicious
In my book- Chili is the GRAND SLAM of nutrition!! You can pack it full of protein, carbs, healthy fats, and vetables!! All the important nutrients!!! I want to give you the base and you can jazz it up how ever you want!!
Warm Turkey Chili
3 lbs ground turkey (or beef)
2 cans rotel original (i use 1 can chili fixins)
3 bell peppers (any color) diced
1/2 red onion- diced
1 can light red kidney beans- drained
1 can dark red kidney beans (I like the Bushs Chili Beans)-drained
9 TBS Chili Powder (or 3 packs)
Ground Cumin to taste
Garlic powder to taste
Brown the ground turkey or beef over medium heat. As the meat is finishing up, add in diced onions and peppers.
Once the meat is cooked through, add chili powder, cumin and garlic. Combine well.
Allow meat, peppers, onions to cook 3-5 minutes.
Add both cans of beans and both cans of rotel. Mix well.
Allow to simmer until vegetables are desired consistency.
Taste test- add seasonings to your liking!
Top with your favorites- Cheese, avocado, jalapenos, sour cream, pico!
Super simple and enough to last all week for meal prep :)
